The Final Countdown: 30 Days Until NatCon25!

Brothers,

We are now only 30 days from the opening gavel of our 2025 National Convention in Lexington, KY! With hundreds of Brothers already registered and so much excitement in the air, I want to thank everyone who has made the commitment to be part of this historic homecoming.

As we prepare for the final stretch, I’m writing to share several important updates and reminders that will help you and your chapter prepare for a successful and meaningful experience. Please take a few moments to read through the items below, and forward this to your chapter members so we’re all on the same page heading into Lexington.

#1: Chapter Delegate & Proxy Form

Final Deadline: June 15

Every chapter should complete the Chapter Delegate & Proxy Form to be eligible to vote during National Convention. While the early deadline to be considered for national committee appointments has passed, the absolute final deadline to submit this form is Sunday, June 15.

This form ensures your chapter’s voice is heard during our official business sessions. You will designate who is serving as your chapter delegate and (if needed) your alternate or proxy. If your chapter is unable to attend, you must complete this form and assign your proxy to another chapter. Submitting this form is highly recommended for participation in elections, budget, jurisdiction, and other official votes, so don’t miss it.

#2: National Elections & Official Slate

On behalf of the National Committee on Nominations, I’m proud to share their final report, which includes the full slate of recommended candidates for the 2025–2027 biennium.

Please review the candidates, watch their intro videos, review their materials, and discuss as a chapter who you believe is best positioned to lead our Fraternity forward. Don’t wait until convention to start these conversations—the time to reflect, engage, and prepare is NOW!

If you have any questions, you can reach the committee directly at [email protected].

#3: Convention Registration

We are just 80% of the way toward our goal of 600 attendees, with nearly 475 Brothers already registered! If every chapter sends just 2–3 Active Members, we’ll not only reach this goal, but make this the most well-attended National Convention ever held in Lexington.

If you or a Brother from your chapter isn’t yet registered, please reconsider! There’s still time to join us. Reach out to your campus resource office and/or alumni network for possible funding support. Every voice matters—and we want yours in the room.

Registration is now $195. Register today: Convention Registration

#4: 2025–2027 National Budget Discussion

As part of the ongoing responsibility of serving as the National President, a key focus is ensuring the long-term financial stability and growth of Kappa Kappa Psi. Especially as we continue to recover from the impact of the pandemic, face rising operational costs, and work to maintain the high-quality support our members deserve, we’ve had to make some difficult yet necessary decisions.

Throughout this biennium, you may have seen changes that reflect this commitment to being thoughtful stewards of our resources. At the same time, our priority has remained clear: to invest in our Active members and elevate their experience through initiatives such as:

  • Expanded Chapter Field Representative support
  • Increased district and program funding
  • More scholarships and student awards
  • Enhanced national presence at major conferences

To sustain the Fraternity’s impact and respond to rising costs, we will be proposing a $15 dues increase for consideration at National Convention. This proposal comes after extensive review and discussion by Dr. Rorrer, myself, and many other stakeholders. Together, we explored multiple scenarios that prioritize organizational financial stability and responsibility while continuing to invest in the experience and success of our members. It’s important to emphasize that increasing dues has never been our first solution. Every decision made has been approached with care, collaboration, and a deep commitment to keeping Kappa Kappa Psi accessible and impactful. We remain focused on preserving affordability while ensuring we can meet the growing needs of our Brotherhood—now and in the future.

View the proposal here: 2025-2027 Proposed Budget

The proposed budget reflects our continued investment in chapter support while responding to the realities of inflation and rising operational costs. We have preserved funding for our Chapter Field Representative Program and District operations—two pillars of our student support system—while also honoring student feedback by avoiding any additional increases to the District Fee beyond the across-the-board dues adjustment.

To help offset expenses, we have reduced travel budgets for the National Leadership Team and are actively engaging our Board of Trustees and Alumni Association to explore sustainable solutions that ease the financial burden on students. This proposal is rooted in the most accurate and thoroughly reviewed financial data we’ve had in recent years, allowing us to move forward with clarity, confidence, and care. We believe this budget strikes the right balance between fiscal responsibility and our mission to support and empower every Brother.

Please take time to review the proposed budget and rationale above before arriving in Lexington. I will be instructing the National Committee on Ways & Means to conduct a thorough review of this proposal during Convention, and your feedback and questions are encouraged. If you have input or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out—we want your voice in the conversation.

#5: National Constitution Change Proposals

Every two years, our National Convention offers us a rare and powerful opportunity to revisit, refine, and recommit to the framework of our Brotherhood—our National Constitution. This summer, we received over 20 proposals from Brothers across the country, each reflecting thought, care, and a desire to shape the future of Kappa Kappa Psi. I still remember being in the room at the 2015 National Convention as the delegate for the NCD, where we held a pivotal discussion about adopting more inclusive language that would better reflect the diversity of our Brotherhood. That moment wasn’t just about changing words—it was about affirming who we are and who we strive to be. And this National Convention is no different.

As we look ahead to Lexington, I invite every Brother to take these proposals seriously. This is our chance to think critically and strategically about how our constitution can continue to uplift our values, strengthen our processes, and ensure accountability across our organization for the next biennium and beyond.

In accordance with our procedures, I will be vetting each submission and forwarding eligible proposals to the National Committee on Jurisdiction, which will review and present their recommendations for the National Delegation to review and vote on at Convention. Stay tuned for a detailed list of the proposals under consideration. I encourage you and your chapter to review them in advance, discuss their potential impact, and arrive in Lexington ready to engage.

Lastly, I encourage you to take some time to review the 2023 National Convention Minutes before we get to Lexington.

To everyone who has already registered—THANK YOU, truly. Your presence, your belief in this Brotherhood, and your decision to show up mean more than words can express. It’s because of Brothers like you that our Fraternity continues to thrive, grow, and make a difference in the lives of so many.

As we count down these final weeks, I know we’re all feeling a mix of anticipation and adrenaline. But more than anything, I feel hope—hope for what this National Convention will represent and what it will inspire in each of us. If you’re still deciding whether to attend, I invite you to reach out. Let’s talk. You matter, your voice matters, and this space was made for you.

In the meantime, I encourage you to reflect on your favorite National Convention moments and share them with your chapter and online using #JourneyToNatCon. You never know who might need that little reminder of how powerful our time together can be.

Thank you for being part of #TheKKPsiJourney—our journey—back to Lexington. Let’s finish this biennium strong and make this summer one we’ll remember for years to come. AEA.

With excitement,
