Education Majors!!! Looking for Graduate Assistantship Opportunity? Check this out!
[editor's
note: Mr. Dowden from NorthwesternStateUniversity in Louisiana specifically was interested in getting the word out

opportunities at his school. I hope this proves helpful to our members!]
NorthwesternStateUniversity
of Louisiana invites interested
prospective graduate students to apply for the Master of Music in Music program
for the Fall 2004
semester. This program at NSU is structured to provide flexibility in
order to meet the needs and interests of all graduate students. Although
the degree’s primary focus is music education, students are allowed a great
deal of latitude in choosing the direction they wish to take for their graduate
study. Instruction by outstanding faculty is available in: music
education, performance, conducting, music history, pedagogy, and music
technology.
Graduate Assistantships are
awarded to qualified candidates with regular admission status and based upon
interview/audition. Assistantships of up to $10,000 may be comprised of a
stipend, tuition waiver (out-of-state), and additional music
scholarships. All graduate assistantships are based on a workload of 20
hours per week.
Interested persons may complete
the online request for information online at www.nsula.edu/inquiry.
Visit the Creative & Performing Arts – Music website at www.nsula.edu/music for
a downloadable preview of the Master of Music Graduate Student Handbook that
details courses, faculty, and other points of interest.
NSU remains excited about receiving your information
request.
Sincerely,
Luke Dowden
Assistant Director of University Recruiting for Graduate
& Adult Studies

District Governors/Counselors/Officers/Chapter Presidents...
Please ensure widest possible delivery to all chapters,
colonies & members in your respective districts!
The
idea of this electronic newsletter is to be able to quickly and efficiently
send out information to every individual member. Therefore, it is up to
the District Leaders to designate someone to be responsible for forwarding
on to the chapters or Chapter Presidents in their district. Once the
Chapter Presidents have the newsletter, please ensure every member of your
chapter receives it! Unfortunately, I regularly talk to chapters members
who have do not received NewsNotes
