Chapter Email Accounts are Available at kkpsi.org
and tbsigma.org
Chapter
Email accounts. Many chapters apparently still
are not aware that they have a free, permanent,
email account that is theirs just for the asking.
If your chapter has not claimed its kkpsi.org or
tbsigma.org account, or if you have lost the
password to your existing account, contact
Michael McMurtrey, National Publications Manager
(podium@kkytbs.org).
He will be glad to help!

Web-based Email Accounts Announce Policy Change.
Due
to the growing number of users on the kkpsi.org
and tbsigma.org email systems, it is necessary
for us create limits on the amount of disk space
available to each user. Effective Oct 7th 2002,
all kkpsi.org and tbsigma.org email accounts will
be restricted to 10 MB of disk space.
We strongly recommend that users utilize a
program such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook
Express, Eudora, or Netscape Messenger to check
email accounts. This will download any mail
messages to your local computer rather than
storing them on the server. The web interface
should only be used as a means to access your
email when your computer is not available (i.e.
you are in a computer lab and don't have access
to your home machine). Generally the web
interface is slower and used when users are away
from their personal machine.
If you have any questions or comments please
direct them to feedback@kkpsi.org .
If you need an instructional sheet on how to
setup your email client (such as Outlook Express)
to check email, please visit the website at http://www.kkpsi.org or http://www.tbsigma.org
PUBLISHER'S NOTE: We are fortunate to be able to
provide all kkpsi.org & tbsigma.org accounts
at a no charge basis. There are several thousand
users, and I ask your cooperation to reduce your
use of disk space on the server of our provider.
THANKS! Alan Bonner

Why Wasn't My Article Published in The PODIUM?
One
of the most-frequent asked questions is "Why
wasn't my item published in The PODIUM?"
There are two answers to this question. The first
is that we usually receive more material than we
can use, and while we try to carry unpublished
items over to the next issue, it's not always
possible to print them even then. But the second
and most common reason we don't publish a story
is that there were no photographs included.
Effective the spring 2003 issue, submissions to
The PODIUM which include photographs will receive
priority for publication, especially if the story
if is about a unique chapter event. So get those
cameras out, load 'em up with film (or media
cards), and start clicking those shutters! For
more information on writing for and submitting
material to The PODIUM , visit the National
Headquarters website at http://www.kkytbs.org/podium.html or contact
the National Publications Manager.

National Alumni Association NEWS
Eta
Xi Chapter of KKPsi at Georgia Southern is a
recipient of the NAA Special Project Assistance
Fund -
The NAA would like to announce that Eta Xi is the
recipient of a Special Project Assistance Fund
(SPAF) for help towards their project for their
band. $500.00 dollars will be sent to them to
help build their band an award display case. On
behalf of the NAA I would like to say
congratulations to the Eta Xi Chapter of Kappa
Kappa Psi at Georgia Southern.
Dale Croston NAA Board of Directors.
All Chapters should be on the look out for SPAF
applications in the Chapter Personnel Packets. If
your chapter has a project that meets the
requirements of the award fill out the form and
turn it in to Headquarters. You can't get any
money if you don't turn in the form, so what are
you waiting for?
NAA asks for your assistance with the Graduating
Senior Report -
When you turn in your Chapter Personnel Report,
please be sure to send in the Graduating Senior
Report so that your chapters seniors will receive
their senior packet. All the information is
important to our data base and needs to be filled
out. We need to know about last year's members
who didn't return (if you have information on
them) OR members who are planning to graduate any
time this academic year. Look for the form in
your Chapter Personnel packet, fill it out, and
turn it in ASAP so we know how many packets we
will need.
