Tau Beta Sigma Announces Installation Ceremony
for Re-activation of the Beta Omicron Chapter at
Texas Southern University in Houston Texas

Dear Sisters and Brothers-
It is my honor and pleasure to announce the
installation date of Texas Southern University
Colony in the ranks of active chapters of Tau
Beta Sigma.
The Third degree and installation will occur on
Friday, May 3rd at 7:00pm in the Rollins-Stewart
Music Center, on the corner of Cleburne and
Ennis, on the campus of Texas Southern
University.
Directions are as follows:
1. From Interstate 45 North or South, exit Scott
street and turn right (whether north or south,
it's a right turn).
2. You will pass three red lights (McGowen, Elgin
and Holman).
3. Turn right at the Burger King on Cleburne
Street (no light there).
4. You will pass one red light (Tierwester)
5. At the second red light (Ennis St.) turn left.
6. The first parking lot on your left is the band
hall parking lot. The
music building is at the corner of Ennis and
Cleburne.
The degree will be held at 7:00pm followed by the
chapter installation and a reception. The
installation ceremony and reception are open to
the public. All sisters and brothers are invited
to attend this historic occassion.
Members of the Tau chapter are offering to house
people as needed and as room is available. In
addition, there are many hotels in the area for
those who are interested in that type of
accommodation.

KKPsi Announces Installation of the Kappa Chi
Chapter at Albion College in Albion, Michigan

Brothers,
On behalf of the National Council of Kappa Kappa
Psi it is my distinct pleasure and honor to
announce the installation of the Kappa Chi
Chapter #262 at Albion College in Albion, MI. The
installation ceremony took place on the Albion
Campus just around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning
and was attended by over 60 Brothers and Sisters
from around the NCD. Included in this were the
NCD President for both KKPsi and TBSigma, NCD
VCPM, NCD Secretary/Treasurer, NCD Governor, NCD
TBSigma Counselor, Brothers from the Nu, Zeta
Epsilon, Delta Upsilon, Beta Rho, Beta Kappa,
Beta Psi, Upsilon,Theta Epsilon and Theta Eta
Chapters. Sisters from Lambda and ZE, and alumni
from the NCDAA, AAAA, CAAN, ONUJAA as well as
Matt Cotton, Charter Member of the Kappa Mu
Chapter at the University of Georgia and Andrew
Knight Charter Member of the Zeta Epsilon Chapter
at Michigan State University(and father of a
Charter Member of Kappa Chi!) sorry if I missed
anyone!.
Many thanks to the Nu Chapter and Malinda Matney
for their outstanding work guiding this colony to
active status and Congratulations to the Brother
of the Kappa Chi Chapter for their hard work and
perseverance through some difficulties which were
not of your making. I look forward to your
continued contributions to your bands as well as
our Fraternity.
On a side note this is a very busy period for
colony activations. Look for an announcement of
the Kappa Phi Chapter which took place this past
Friday, and the Kappa Psi Chapter next weekend.
Also be on the look out for information about the
pending installations of the Kappa Omega and
Lambda Alpha Chapters as well as possibly Lambda
Beta and the reinstallation of Zeta Nu in the
near future.

KKPsi Announces Installation of the Kappa Phi
Chapter at East Texas Baptist University in
Marshall, Texas

Brothers,
I am pleased to announce the installation of the
Kappa Phi Chapter of KKPsi I was honored to serve
as the Installing Officer. The installation
ceremony took place at the Southwest District
Convention in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April
19, 2002 and was attended by over 250 Brothers
from around the SWD. Zeta Beta Chapter from
Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas
served as the Advising Chapter and conducted the
Ritual prior to the Installation Ceremony.

75th Anniversary Celebration of the University of
Missouri-Rolla Bands

May 2-5, 2002, The Delta Gamma Chapter of KKPsi
and the Delta Xi Chapter of TBS are sponsoring
the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the UMR Bands
in conjunction with the UMR Performing Arts
Department and the UMR Alumni Association. Hotel
